Those of you playing the koto, would you like to be part of this project? Let me know if you would like to or like your friend to. Let me know before the winter break and I will follow up with you in January. Thanks.
This is from a teacher leading the project:
"I teach villages around the globe around 1200 C.E. in a Humanities course, 85 minutes a day with 6th grade girls at Springside. We are currently studying Yoruban culture and West African village life. We read The African Mask by Janet Rupert as part of that. We then go to medieval Europe and then on to feudal Japan. When studying Japan, we read Of Nightingales that Weep by Katherine Paterson. Any help with understanding the geography of Japan, the life of the samurai and shogun, or life in a Japanese village. We also study art and some music. The main character plays the koto."

I have added 2 articles on the tech web, one under "Tip N Tricks" and the other in "Problems".
Have a look if you feel like it.
